Couple Arrested For Locking Autism Child In Storage Locker With Urine-Soaked Blankets

According to cbsaustin.com 36 Year-Old Mikki Dee Moody and Sean David Moody, 39 was booked and charges with aggravated child abuse and neglect and child endangerment.

On Thursday a search warrant was issued to the home… Upon arrival investigators made contact with a 7-year-old autism child and immediately contacted the Department of Children’s Services who took the child into custody.

Officers took Sean Moody into custody then agents and investigators begin searching the house.

CCSO Investigator Preston White reported that a search of the residence revealed unsanitary living conditions, with exposed wiring at multiple wall outlets and animal and human feces discovered on the floor.

A storage trunk was later found in the living room which contained urine-soaked covers, a pillow, a half-eaten pizza, and “clothing that contained a substance consistent with blood.

According to investigators, the child would be locked in the storage trunk with food.

Both Mikki Moody and Sean Moody were booked into the Carter County Detention Center on Thursday. Mikki Moody was released from custody after posting a $75k bond.

The investigation continues, the couple should be arraigned Monday.
