Man Sentenced After Faking Death To Avoid Paying Child Support.

A Kentucky man was sentenced to more than 6 years behind bars after he hacked into state database to fake his death and get away with paying child support.

A judge sentenced Jesse Kipf,39 for 81 months for computer fraud and aggravated identity theft on Tuesday.

Kipf accessed the Hawaii death registry system using the information of a physician living in another state and created a case for his own death in January.

According to prosecutors he assigned himself as the medical certifier for the case and certified his death using the doctor’s digital signature resulting in his being registered as a deceased person in many databases.

Kipf later admitted to faking his death so that he can avoid paying child support which he owed  more than $116,000 in.
