Florida Man Sentenced for Marrying 3 Women At The Same Time

A man from Florida, who got arrested when his wife found out he was married to two other women simultaneously, appeared in court on Thursday for his sentencing after admitting to bigamy.

Henry Betsey Jr., aged 50, entered a plea of nolo contendere to the felony charge of bigamy in May. This plea indicates that he did not admit guilt but accepted the consequences of the charge.

According to records from Hernando County court, he received a two-year probation sentence on Thursday and will be listed as a felon.

Henry found his three wives on dating websites and tied the knot with each of them at county courthouses within a two-year period.

He married his first wife, Tonya Betsey in Jacksonville in 2020 after the pair met on Tinder.

He caught the love bug once more two years later and escorted Brandy Betsey down the aisle in Manatee County after connecting on a different dating app called Stir.

In Hernando County on November 23, 2022, he married Michele Narens, whom he had connected with on Match.com a few weeks earlier.

Regrettably, none of the three women were aware of each other’s existence. “He said all the right things,” Brandy said.

“He sold the perfect person, when in reality, he was none of those things,” Tonya said.
