Woman Faces Charges After Attacking A Planet Fitness Employee

A woman is facing charges after police say she attacked a Planet Fitness employee during a chaotic incident caught on video.

Miami police arrested 35-year-old Kiara Bryant after witnesses reported she punched an employee in the face at the Planet Fitness on Southwest 8th Street on December 12th.

Officers were first called to the gym around 10:11 that morning after reports of a woman running through the building without clothing. When police arrived, they say Bryant was causing a disturbance in the parking lot — yelling profanities and attempting to fight people.

According to an arrest report, the incident began inside the locker room. Police say an employee asked Bryant to lower her voice or leave the gym. That’s when she allegedly became aggressive, approached the employee, and later jumped behind the front counter.

Police say Bryant chased the employee before jumping over the counter and punching him repeatedly in the face.

Afterward, officers say Bryant tried to leave the scene in her car but was stopped by bystanders. Police also say she later admitted to confronting the employee and striking him.

Bryant was arrested without further incident and charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct. Her bond was set at $150.

In a statement, Planet Fitness said it has zero tolerance for violence and confirmed the member involved has been banned from the gym.
