Former Child Actor Tylor Chase Hospitalized for Mandatory Treatment

Former child actor Tylor Chase is currently receiving mandatory treatment at a hospital in Southern California following an intervention by close friends and family, according to individuals involved.

Daniel Curtis Lee, Chase’s former co-star on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, said that Chase’s father asked Jacob “Jakenes” Harris, a Los Angeles–based hip-hop influencer and entrepreneur, to help coordinate support for his son.

Harris said that on Christmas Day he was able to contact a crisis intervention team that conducted an immediate in-person evaluation. Following the assessment, the team determined that urgent medical care was necessary and transported Chase to a nearby facility, where he was placed on a 72-hour hold.

“He’s receiving proper care right now, and the situation is beginning to improve,” Harris said in a statement. “What made the difference was having someone step in and ensure help was actually provided.”

Those involved emphasized the importance of early intervention and reducing access to dangerous substances, calling for stronger measures to prevent exposure to Schedule I drugs across the United States.
