Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has reached a settlement in a civil lawsuit brought by social media influencer and model Sophie Hall, ending a closely watched trial in Broward County, Florida.
The lawsuit stemmed from an alleged incident at Hill’s Southwest Ranches home in June 2023, where Hall claimed the NFL star fractured her leg during backyard football drills. Hall sued Hill on allegations including assault, battery, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
According to court testimony, Hall alleged she was injured after Hill “charged” into her during a training exercise. She testified that she collapsed in pain after contact between the two while running drills in the backyard.
Hill’s attorneys denied wrongdoing and argued Hall either assumed the risk by participating in football drills or may have tripped over one of Hill’s dogs during the incident. The defense also questioned the severity and timeline of Hall’s injuries, noting she reportedly delayed seeking medical treatment.
The trial, which was expected to last up to two weeks, ended abruptly on its second day after both parties agreed to an undisclosed settlement. Neither side publicly disclosed the financial terms of the agreement.
Hall left the courthouse without commenting to reporters. One of her attorneys later told local media that “everyone left happy” following the agreement. Hill briefly addressed reporters outside the courthouse, joking, “I’m going to Disney World.”
The case drew widespread attention due to the high-profile nature of both parties and the unusual allegations surrounding the injury. Hall, who has millions of followers across social media platforms, testified about her modeling career and personal struggles as a single mother during the proceedings.
The settlement closes another legal chapter for Hill, who became a free agent earlier this year after being released by the Dolphins following an injury-plagued season.
