Social media personality and influencer boxer DeenTheGreat was arrested Wednesday morning in Miami-Dade County, Florida, according to jail records and reporting from entertainment news outlets.
The streamer, whose real name is Nurideen Shabazz, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a felony charge listed as “robbery/strongarm/attempt.” At the time of reporting, bond information had not yet been set.
According to reports, the arrest stems from an alleged altercation involving a woman identified in police documents.
Authorities claim the dispute took place after an argument escalated on a yacht in the Miami area.
Investigators allege Shabazz attempted to take the woman’s phone after becoming upset that she was recording him.
Police reports claim video footage from a security camera showed him yelling for someone to grab the phone while trying to stop the recording. Authorities also noted that the woman allegedly suffered a minor scratch during the incident.
The situation reportedly continued outside the yacht, where video evidence allegedly showed the woman attempting to hold onto her phone while trying to move away from the scene.
Following their investigation, police moved forward with an attempted robbery charge.
DeenTheGreat built a large online following through livestream content, internet drama, and influencer boxing events, becoming a recognizable figure in the online combat sports and streaming community.
As of Wednesday, neither DeenTheGreat nor his representatives have issued a public statement regarding the allegations. No court date has been announced.
