San Antonio, Texas — A 26-year-old Texas man has been arrested and charged after allegedly making violent online threats targeting Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA, ahead of a scheduled political event in San Antonio.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jacob Wenske, who was taken into custody after investigators linked him to a series of threatening posts and emails directed at Kirk and an upcoming Turning Point USA Women’s Leadership Summit.
According to law enforcement officials and court documents, Wenske allegedly posted messages on social media referencing violence against the event, including statements such as “I know exactly where to bomb” in response to online discussions about the summit.
Investigators also say he sent an email containing further threats, including language calling for harm against Kirk and other speakers at the event. The messages prompted immediate concern from authorities, who classified the statements as credible threats of mass violence.
Police were able to trace the communications through digital evidence, including IP addresses, email records, and phone data, which ultimately led to Wenske’s arrest.
Wenske has been charged with two felony counts of making a terroristic threat causing public fear. Officials said the charges reflect the seriousness of the alleged threats, particularly given their timing ahead of a large public gathering.
His bond was set at $120,000, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The alleged threats come just days before the Turning Point USA Women’s Leadership Summit, which is expected to draw prominent conservative speakers and attendees from across the country.
In response to the incident, organizers have reportedly increased security measures, working with law enforcement to ensure the safety of participants.
Erika Kirk became CEO of Turning Point USA following the death of her husband, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed at a previous public event in 2025. She has since taken a leading role in the organization’s public outreach and leadership programming.
Authorities have not indicated whether additional charges may be filed. Officials emphasized that the case highlights the growing concern over online threats translating into real-world security risks, particularly around high-profile political events.
