Pizza Hut Employee Accused of Killing Customer Also Faces Separate Rape Charges.

A former Pizza Hut employee accused of fatally shooting a woman outside a restaurant in Euclid, Ohio, appeared before a judge Monday after a grand jury indicted him on murder charges. During the same court appearance, prosecutors revealed the suspect is also facing rape-related charges in a separate criminal case.

Keishaun Kellom, 24, pleaded not guilty in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court after being indicted on one count of murder and one count of felonious assault in connection with the June 23 shooting death of Marshay Wilson, 29, of Cleveland.

Judge proceedings resulted in Kellom’s bond being set at $1 million in the homicide case.

He also entered a not guilty plea in a separate indictment charging him with rape, kidnapping, and gross sexual imposition, where his bond was set at an additional $100,000.

According to investigators, the shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on June 23 outside the Pizza Hut located on Shore Center Drive in Euclid.

Police say Wilson had been inside the restaurant when an argument broke out between her and Kellom. Surveillance footage allegedly captured the confrontation before Wilson exited the restaurant and got into her vehicle with three other occupants.

Authorities allege Kellom followed outside and fired multiple rounds into the vehicle as it pulled away from the parking lot.

Despite suffering a gunshot wound to the head, Wilson continued driving several blocks before the vehicle came to a stop on St. Clair Avenue.

Emergency responders located the vehicle after dispatchers traced a phone call from one of the passengers. Wilson was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Kellom was arrested later that evening at the Pizza Hut and has remained in custody since.

Court records show Kellom was already wanted on an outstanding warrant related to a separate sexual assault investigation at the time of the fatal shooting.

The newly unsealed indictment charges him with rape, kidnapping, and gross sexual imposition. Authorities have not publicly released additional details regarding the alleged victim or the circumstances surrounding those accusations because the criminal proceedings remain ongoing.

The existence of the earlier warrant has drawn renewed attention from the victim’s family and members of the public, who questioned how Kellom remained free and employed while the warrant was outstanding.

Kellom is scheduled to return to court on July 8, where both criminal cases are expected to continue through the judicial process.

As with all criminal defendants, Kellom is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Authorities have not announced whether additional charges are expected in either case as the investigations continue.
