A late-night trip to Dunkin’ turned into a wild confrontation after police say a Queens man refused to accept one simple answer: the store was closed.
According to authorities, Senai Haywood, a Queens man, allegedly walked into a Dunkin’ in Williston Park, Long Island, after the business had already shut down for the night.
Instead of leaving when employees told him the store was closed, police say Haywood went behind the counter and attempted to make himself a cup of coffee.
And that’s when things allegedly went completely left.
Authorities say an employee confronted Haywood and told him he could not be behind the counter because the business was closed. Rather than walking out, police allege Haywood became aggressive and struck the employee.
But according to investigators, the alleged chaos didn’t stop there.
Police say Haywood began throwing cups around the Dunkin’ before eventually leaving the location. The employee was reportedly left dealing with the aftermath as authorities began looking for the suspect.
Detectives later located Haywood, but police say his arrest didn’t come quietly.
