Trippie Redd is back with a brand-new project, and the Ohio rapper came through with plenty of firepower.
After building anticipation over the past several weeks, Trippie Redd has officially released his highly anticipated new album “NDA”, which arrived Friday, August 14.
The new project marks another major chapter for Trippie, who has kept fans waiting for his latest full-length release. The rollout picked up steam in recent weeks as the rapper began revealing more details surrounding the album, eventually unveiling a massive 25-song tracklist through a partnership with Spotify’s Rap Caviar.
And if the features are any indication, Trippie definitely wasn’t trying to keep things small.
“NDA” features an impressive collection of artists, including Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Quavo, Rema, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Sexyy Red, Tory Lanez, Kodak Black, YNW Melly, Ski Mask The Slump God, Rob49, BigXthaPlug, NoCap and Nine Vicious.
Young Thug appears twice on the album, including on “PaperBag Boy” and “Uncle Phil,” while Lil Wayne joins Trippie on “Fine Shit.” Other notable collaborations include Rema on “For Her,” PARTYNEXTDOOR on “Say What,” Sexyy Red on “Meet The Redds,” Quavo on “Pink Toes,” and Kodak Black on “I’m Sorry Baby.”
The album also includes “Free Melly” featuring YNW Melly, giving fans another highly anticipated collaboration.
Trippie Redd Has Been Building Toward This Moment
The release of “NDA” comes after Trippie began teasing the project and officially announced its August 14 release date in late July. The rollout generated plenty of conversation among fans as snippets, rumored songs and tracklist information circulated online before the official announcement.
One of the tracks that helped kick off the rollout was “PaperBag Boy” featuring Young Thug, while Trippie continued dropping material and teasing additional collaborations ahead of the album.
With 25 tracks, “NDA” gives Trippie plenty of room to showcase the different sides of his sound. The project moves between hard-hitting hip-hop records, melodic cuts and more vulnerable moments, touching on themes including relationships, heartbreak, money, drugs and the lifestyle surrounding his career.
