Man Violently Kicked in the Head and Robbed While Relaxing in San Bernardino Jacuzzi.

A San Bernardino man is recovering after a shocking and seemingly random attack that was caught on surveillance video, showing him being violently kicked in the head while relaxing in a jacuzzi before his cellphone was allegedly stolen.

The victim, identified as 48-year-old Greg Medina, was at the jacuzzi area of the Creekside Village apartment complex in San Bernardino, California, when the attack happened. Medina said he had been listening to a class through his earbuds and was sitting in the water when two individuals approached him.

According to Medina, the attack happened suddenly and without warning.

Surveillance footage from the area reportedly captured one of the suspects approaching Medina before delivering a violent kick to the back of his head. The force of the attack caused Medina to fall forward while he was still inside the jacuzzi.

A second suspect allegedly took Medina’s cellphone, which had been sitting nearby, before the pair fled from the scene.

Medina said the frightening incident could have ended much worse. Because he was inside the water when he was struck, he feared that losing consciousness could have potentially caused him to drown.

The 48-year-old victim reportedly suffered a concussion as a result of the attack.

Speaking about the incident, Medina described the attack as completely unprovoked. He said he had no interaction with the suspects before they approached him and did not understand why he was targeted.

The surveillance footage has since drawn attention because of how quickly the attack unfolded. Medina was simply relaxing in the jacuzzi when the suspects allegedly targeted him, turning what appeared to be an ordinary moment into a violent robbery.

Following the attack, Medina reportedly attempted to track his stolen cellphone. The device was traced to another nearby apartment complex, but authorities were reportedly unable to determine the exact apartment where the phone was located.

Police were investigating the incident and searching for the individuals responsible. The suspects were described in reports as possibly being teenagers or young adults.

The case has raised concerns among residents about random acts of violence and robbery, particularly after the surveillance video showed the victim being attacked while appearing to have no opportunity to defend himself.

Medina, who reportedly works as a chef helping serve meals to people experiencing homelessness, is now recovering from the concussion and emotional impact of the attack.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspects or the robbery to contact law enforcement as the investigation continues.

The disturbing incident serves as another reminder of how quickly an ordinary situation can turn dangerous. What began as a moment of relaxation for Medina ended with him suffering a head injury and losing his cellphone after what he says was a completely random and unprovoked attack.

Police have not publicly announced any arrests in connection with the case as of the latest reports.
