A Florida road-rage incident allegedly took a VERY weird turn after a woman was accused of launching a glass jar of vegan mayonnaise through another driver’s open car window — allegedly hitting the woman directly in the face.
According to the arrest report, the incident happened on August 20 along Corkscrew Road near Three Oaks Parkway in Lee County, Florida.
Authorities say 57-year-old Christine Sweet was involved in a confrontation with another woman while both were driving in the area. Things reportedly escalated before Sweet allegedly grabbed a glass jar containing Vegenaise — a vegan mayonnaise substitute — and threw it through the other vehicle’s open window.
The jar allegedly struck the other woman in the face, leaving her with a cut underneath her eye.
And according to investigators, things didn’t stop there.
The arrest report reportedly says Sweet was heard saying, “I hit her in the face, go, go, go,” before the vehicle left the area.
The victim later provided authorities with information about the vehicle involved. Weeks after the alleged incident, investigators reportedly got another break when the victim spotted the same vehicle.
Authorities say the vehicle was located on September 17, eventually leading investigators to Sweet.
Sweet was arrested on September 18 and is facing felony charges, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and throwing a missile into an occupied vehicle.
During the investigation, authorities reportedly questioned Sweet about what was inside the jar. The report says she identified it as Vegenaise, explaining that it was essentially a vegan version of mayonnaise.

While the circumstances surrounding the confrontation are still based on the allegations contained in the arrest report, prosecutors will have to prove the charges in court. Sweet is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
