Remy Ma is making noise again! The Bronx rap veteran has officially released the music video for her record “Rem The Pen,” giving fans another reason to revisit her ongoing history with Nicki Minaj.
The video arrives following the release of Remy’s new six-track EP, Alimony, which dropped on September 25, 2026. One of the project’s biggest conversation starters has been “Rem The Pen,” a track where Remy addresses her complicated relationship with Nicki while making it clear she still believes in her own lyrical abilities.
And if you know anything about these two rappers, you already know that even a few bars can bring the old rap conversation right back to life.
On the track, Remy doesn’t dance around the fact that her relationship with Nicki remains strained. She directly references their situation and delivers lines suggesting that a reconciliation between the two rappers is unlikely.
One of the most talked-about moments comes when Remy raps that she and Nicki will probably never speak again before bringing up Nicki’s acknowledgment of her pen game.
The line immediately puts their long-running tension back in the spotlight, with listeners revisiting one of hip-hop’s most recognizable rivalries.
Rather than simply relying on name-drops, Remy uses the record to put her confidence as a rapper front and center. The message is clear: she wants listeners to pay attention to her bars and what she believes she brings to the culture.
While the Nicki reference is getting attention, “Rem The Pen” isn’t entirely focused on their feud.
Remy also gives recognition to several women who have made their mark in hip-hop, including Cardi B, Lil’ Kim, Rah Digga, Missy Elliott and Monie Love.
Those shout-outs place the record within a broader conversation about women in rap, their influence on the genre and the different generations that helped shape it.
Remy’s approach also fits the message behind Alimony. In discussing the project, she explained that she wanted it to feel like a conversation between women, giving listeners something they could relate to while allowing her to express herself through music.
The EP represents another opportunity for the Bronx rapper to tell her own story rather than let outside conversations define her.
