BETHPAGE, NY… An Amazon delivery driver was arrested on Friday after officers say he got away with $5,600 worth of merchandise from the companies warehouse.
During a investigation authorities found out that the stolen goods which was loaded onto one of the delivery trucks was later rerouted to another location by the driver.
48 Year-old Edward Seyfert who worked as a driver at a Amazon warehouse located on 80 Grumman Road West Edward Seyfert brought the stolen items home and threatened to hurt a 28-year-old male co-worker if he told officers.
Investigators later discovered that the stolen items included a TV, chair’s and more police said.
Seyfert was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree grand larceny and 3rd-degree coercion. He was arraigned in Mineola, the male co-worker wasn’t injured.
