Atlanta: Four Fulton county contract workers have been arrested in a connection with an ongoing investigation which included contraband, sex and bringing food to inmates.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office charged LaQuna Ballard 34, Regina Harris 26, Anizya Silas 24, and 26-year-old Breaisha Tate all with smuggling contraband to inmate’s which included cell phones, cigarettes, and chicken pot pie’s .
Harris, faces 3 warrants for giving a inmate a cell phone. Ballard is accused of sending photos and videos to an inmate and conspiring to smuggle cigarettes and cell phones into the jail.
The fourth officer ‘Silas’ faces charges of conspiring to smuggle a phone charger and giving a chicken pot pie, to an inmate.
All four suspects were given bond, but as of late Wednesday afternoon, only one had posted it.
Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat recently released a statement “These women unfortunately chose to be on the wrong side of the law by fraternizing with residents. They will now have to face the consequences for the crimes they are accused of committing.”
The case is still an ongoing investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
