A Chicago man was arrested and charged with murder after an attempted home invasion in Arlington Heights went bad.
Bradley Finnan is facing murder after an incident that took place during the corona-virus lockdown.
Video captured on RING shows the moment Bradley Finnan and Larry Brodacz showed up to a home in North Evergreen and forced their way in with guns.
According to Officer the homeowner got into a scuffle with the two invaders and chased Finnan out of his house then repeatedly punched him.
Brodacz remained in the house during the fight with the homeowner’s family.
Police said that Brodacz had the homeowners wife and children at gunpoint that’s when the owner retrieved his gun handgun.
Brodacz lost his gun in the fight with the family, but then pulled a knife from his waistband, the homeowner told police.
“Fearing for his life and the lives of his wife and children, the homeowner discharged a round from the family handgun, striking Mr. Brodacz in the abdomen,” the police statement said.
Brodacz was pronounced dead at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide.
Finnan is now charged with the other suspect’s death.
