20-year-old Caitlin Nelson died on Sunday after choking on pancakes during a eating contest on campus— a certified youth mental health counselor and volunteered at the Resiliency Center of Newtown, a nonprofit group helping those affected by the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
