
38-year-old Jordan Baxter was discovered by a passerby who immediately notified the authorities Wednesday morning.
Baxter was lying on a plastic sheet between two parked cars in Northwest Philadelphia, with a firearm resting on his chest.
Jordan a resident of Bells Mill Road, was pronounced dead at 7:07 a.m. after officers responded to reports of a person screaming just before 7 a.m. The Philadelphia Fire Department’s medic unit confirmed the death upon arrival at the scene.
Investigators from the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death. Authorities quickly identified the victim’s wife, 39-year-old Danielle Baxter, as a suspect.
Just days before her husband was shot, Danielle Baxter appeared to reference relationship in a public Facebook post on March 14.
She wrote:
“These females out here be plotting on your marriage and waiting for your downfall so they can come right on in and these men let them.”
