A Nevada man was arrested after he was allegedly accused of throwing his daughter off a 2nd floor roof.
According to news3lv 32 Year-old Clarence Martin Jr. was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on Saturday after the defendant’s fiancée called 911 around 3:40 a.m. to say Martin had thrown her child out of the apartment window.
When officers responded to the 911 call they discovered a huge fire in the living room and a dog dead locked inside a cage due to smoke.
Before medics arrived a neighbor tried to perform CPR on the baby girl, she was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
Officers identified the girl as 2-month-old London Martin. She died from blunt force head trauma, and her death has been ruled a homicide.
While responding, an officer saw a white Mercedes Benz leave the complex and crash into another car. Police determined the Mercedez Benz belonged to the fiance and Martin was the driver.
At about 4 a.m., someone working the ticket counter at the airport saw Martin trying to open a locked door, the arrest report alleges. When she challenged Martin, “he crawled onto the baggage conveyor belt that entered into the secure area of the airport.”
LVMPD officers learned Martin was spotted by a maintenance worker near the tarmac, putting things into a work van, after he apparently took a TSA agent’s shirt from a break room.
An officer arrived and took Martin into custody, and he was transported to UMC “for treatment for his medical issues,” according to the arrest report. At some point, he yelled “Burn [explative]! Jeffreys Street, Jeffreys Street.”
