Copycat: Hillsborough County Sheriff’s arrested a man who attempted another attack on a Walmart in Gibsonton, Florida.
31-year-old Wayne Lee Padgett called the Gibsonton Walmart saying that he was 5 minutes away and that he wanted to shoot up the place.
WSTP reporter Angelina Salcedo reported that a 31-year-old white male was “intrigued” by the terrorist attacks in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio this weekend. He wanted to conduct his own similar shooting. Luckily, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office was able to act quickly.
Padgett is charged with a felony count of false report of using a firearm in a violent manner.
