43 Year-Old Damaris Rodriguez died in a jail cell from starvation after being incarcerated at a Washington state jail for 4 days.
Rodriguez’s husband Reynaldo Gil called 911 from their home to report that she needed medical assistance and was suffering a mental health episode.
Rodriguez was found dead in her cell at South Correctional Entity, known as SCORE, in Des Moines after she had been starved and incarcerated for 106 hours – despite not being charged with any crime.
Her family have filed a wrongful death lawsuit, they claim she was wrongly arrested.
