Offset Drops New “Something I Need” Music Video.

Atlanta rapper Offset has officially released the music video for his latest single, “Something I Need,” giving fans a fresh look at what appears to be the beginning of a new chapter in his solo career.

The new track arrived Friday, September 18, and comes after Offset spent the past several days building anticipation with an unusual promotional campaign centered around a fake relationship-advice hotline called NEED FM.

Offset first introduced NEED FM earlier this week, encouraging fans dealing with relationship problems or needing answers to call in. Instead of actually connecting callers directly with Offset, the number was part of the rollout for his new song.

The rapper promoted the concept with the message that some people need “closure,” answers, or somebody to tell them what is really going on. Calling the number ultimately directed fans toward the new release.

Now the rollout has officially turned into a full music release.

“Something I Need” is Offset’s first new solo single of 2026 and follows his two 2025 projects, KIARI and HAUNTED BY FAME.

The new record is produced by Jester Beats, Smatt Sertified and Southside, with Offset credited as a songwriter alongside Joshua Luellen, Matthew-Kyle Adrian Brown and Jester McCue.

The release also comes at an interesting time for Offset and his former Migos groupmate Quavo.

Quavo recently revealed that he and Offset are planning to bring Migos back for another album and tour. The possibility of a reunion has been building for months, with the two rappers previously teasing their return and being spotted back in the studio together.

For now, however, Offset is focused on his solo run.

“Something I Need” gives fans another glimpse at what he has been working on since his 2025 releases, while the new video adds a visual component to a rollout that has already generated plenty of attention online.

The timing also makes the release part of a packed New Music Friday, with Offset joining a long list of artists dropping new music on September 18.

Whether “Something I Need” turns out to be a standalone release or the beginning of a larger Offset project remains to be seen.

For now, fans can check out the brand-new video and stream “Something I Need” on major streaming platforms.
