Rapper Jay Jenkins, better known as Young Jeezy, was one of six people arrested on suspicion of possessing an assault weapon following Friday’s shooting death of a man at a Wiz Khalifa concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, authorities said Monday.
Young Jeezy has been touring with Khalifa as part of the Under the Influence of Music tour.
The investigation that led to the arrests began after 38-year-old Eric Johnson of Orinda was shot multiple times at the Mountain View concert. Johnson, who died Saturday at a hospital, was shot in the backstage area of the large venue, police said.
On Sunday, Mountain View detectives executed search warrants at the Verizon Amphitheatre in Irvine, at another Wiz Khalifa concert, officials said.
