Rocky Mount officers are investigating a fight that happened between a student and a teacher over a cell phone.
The fight broke out at Rocky Mount High School this morning.
Footage shows the substitute teacher identified as Xaviera Steele, who has been with Nash County Schools for about a year arguing with a student over a phone she took before things became physical.
“Don’t touch me,” the teacher goes on to say several times. The confrontation then gets physical with the two swinging at each other and the teacher ending up on top of the student.
The fight occurred between the end of first period and the start of Connections Intervention period.
Police said no injuries were reported and they are actively investigating what happened.
