A Taco Bell employee in Missouri was fired after an Islamophobic rant against a Muslim customer went viral online.
Tarek Hamdan went to grab something to eat at a Taco Bell drive-thru in St. Louis County on Tuesday after a day of work. He had been fasting all day for Ramadan and chose Taco Bell for suhoor, which is a predawn meal during the holy month.
Tarek said: Around 1am after a busy day at work & not being able to eat from a long day of fasting for #Ramadan
, I went to @tacobell to buy some food for suhoor (pre-dawn meal/breakfast) but, ended up having a 25 minute debate with this worker who insisted ALL Muslims are terrorists. #STL
Hamdan patiently tried to explain to the woman that Muslim people are not synonymous with terrorism.
“You need to cater to me. I’m not going to cater to you, ’cause this is on my territory,” the woman said.
lmfao so I found the other part of the video…y’all not ready for this ????? pic.twitter.com/GwCOWb2Jli
