Teen Found Guilty After Placing stabbed newborn baby in An Empty dog food bag

A 16 year-0ld teen girl has been found guilty for stabbing her new born to death and placing the baby in an Empty dog food bag.

The teen, who has not been named, was charged with first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon in Sheridan County Court .

The now 17 year old was charged as an adult after she murdered her newborn son by stabbing him in the throat and placing the body inside a dog food bag under clothes inside a bedroom closet and then going to the store.

According to lawandcrime.com the  Gordon, Nebraska teen is facing two decades to life behind bars after pleading no contest.

On November 6, Gordon police were called to a Gordon home after a report that a girl had given birth and the baby stopped breathing. Police were met at the door by the girl’s father, who said the baby had been stillborn and “that it was too late.” The officer described entering a bedroom and seeing the girl squatting by the bedroom door and her mother, who was holding an infant wrapped in a towel, crying hysterically. The mother allegedly kept saying the girl had hurt the baby and told the officer that marks could be seen on the baby.

The officer attempted to render first aid when he observed that the infant’s throat had been cut through the windpipe and that the infant had been stabbed several times on the left side of the chest. EMS providers arrived and took over care of the child but it was too late, the baby later died.
