
Former University of Kentucky student Sophia Rosing who pleaded guilty for racist attack on black student in 2022 was denied probation and early release from jail.
Rosing was seen on camera assaulting Kylah Spring and using racial. Spring, who is Black, was working at the front desk of a UK residence hall. Footage of the attack and arrest included Rosing attacking a police officer who was called to the dorm went viral.
Lat year Rosing was sentenced to 12 months behind bars as well as 100 hours of community service after she pleaded guilty to four counts of fourth-degree assault, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of public intoxication.
