Three students were injured and a gunman killed when police swarmed Florida State University early Thursday after the shooter opened fire inside Strozier Library, police said.
One of the three victims is in critical condition, police said at a Thursday press conference.
At least two people with gunshot wounds were transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, the hospital told the Tallahassee Democrat. The third has been released from medics’ care after being treated for a graze wound.
FSU officers shot and killed the gunman, who has not been identified, police said.
Senior Sarah Evans was in the library with some friends when she noticed a librarian who looked frantic, she told CNN. When she asked the staffer what was wrong, she wouldn’t say anything, she said.
