San Francisco 49ers principal owner and CEO Jed York found himself making headlines for reasons that have nothing to do with football after he was arrested over the weekend in Ohio.
York, 46, was taken into custody Sunday in East Palestine, Ohio, according to court records. He was initially charged with engaging in prostitution, but that charge was later amended to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
York ultimately pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and a second misdemeanor charge of possessing criminal tools.
According to reports, York posted a $5,000 bond after his arrest and appeared in court Monday, where the case was resolved. He was sentenced to one day in jail on each misdemeanor charge, with the sentences running concurrently.
