DaBaby Settles Lawsuit Stemming From Bowling Alley Brawl Involving DaniLeigh’s Brother

LOS ANGELES — Rapper DaBaby has reached a settlement in a civil lawsuit tied to a widely publicized 2022 bowling alley altercation involving Brandon Bills, the brother of singer DaniLeigh.

According to court filings reported on June 7, 2026, a notice of settlement was submitted in Los Angeles Superior Court, signaling that the long-running legal dispute is expected to be dismissed within approximately 45 days.

The lawsuit stemmed from a confrontation at Corbin Bowl in Los Angeles, where Brandon Bills alleged that DaBaby, born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, and members of his entourage attacked him during a heated exchange connected to ongoing personal tensions involving DaniLeigh, DaBaby’s former partner.

The dispute dates back to February 2022, when a physical altercation broke out inside the bowling alley and was captured on video. The footage showed a chaotic fight between DaBaby, his associates, and Brandon Bills, with the confrontation spilling into the bowling lanes and prompting intervention from staff and security.

Following the incident, Bills filed a civil lawsuit alleging assault and seeking damages for injuries he claimed were sustained during the brawl. DaBaby has previously argued that he acted in self-defense, while the opposing side maintained that he initiated the confrontation.

The case experienced multiple delays over the course of several years, including disputes over service of legal papers and procedural issues that slowed progress in court. In a separate development prior to the settlement, a judge dismissed DaBaby from portions of the case, citing delays in properly serving him legal documents. However, other claims in the broader lawsuit continued against additional parties, including the bowling alley.

The newly filed notice of settlement indicates that both parties have now reached an agreement to resolve the matter outside of trial. While the terms of the settlement have not been publicly disclosed, the filing suggests the case will be formally dismissed once procedural requirements are completed.

The resolution brings an end to one of several legal controversies surrounding the 2022 incident, which drew significant media attention at the time due to DaBaby’s public profile and the viral nature of the footage.

With the settlement in place, the civil case is expected to be closed later this year pending final court approval. No further public statements have been issued by DaBaby or Brandon Bills regarding the agreement.
