On Saturday, a funeral director in Alabama had a horrifying experience when he discovered a deceased 1-year-old girl inside a hearse.
The child was allegedly placed there by a 29-year-old woman who is accused of the murder.
WBRC.com reported that Blessence Pearl, a 1-year-old child, was found in the rear of a hearse at the West Gadsden Funeral Home in Gadsden.
Authorities are treating the case as a homicide investigation, noting that the infant was not inside a casket.
Dantez Robinson, the funeral home proprietor, mentioned that as staff were on their way back from another assignment, they spotted what appeared to be a doll in the hearse.
However, upon opening the door, they discovered it was actually a human baby.
Terica Pearl, Blessence’s mother, was arrested by the Gadsden Police and taken to the James Hayes Etowah County Detention Center at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 10th.
Pearl is currently incarcerated at the Etowah County Jail without bail for a murder accusation.
