A 35-year-old Florida woman, Emely Martinez — known online as “Itsthe Veneerlady” — has been arrested for allegedly performing unlicensed dental procedures across multiple counties.
According to investigators, Martinez posed as a veneer technician and offered full-mouth veneer treatments at discounted prices through the Tapp Inn Beauty Bar in Pinellas Park. She allegedly used cyanoacrylate — commonly known as superglue or crazy glue — to apply fake veneers, resulting in serious dental damage for several clients.
Victims were left with infections, broken teeth, and costly emergency dental bills to repair the harm. Authorities say some patients were forced to wait for infections to subside before they could even begin corrective treatment.
Martinez faces charges including fraud, a scheme to defraud, and multiple counts of practicing dentistry without a license. Investigators also believe she may have operated under different business names in Hillsborough County and other areas.
Officials confirm that Martinez had no formal dental training or certification. In a 2024 warning, the American Dental Association cautioned the public that receiving dental procedures from unlicensed individuals could result in “irreversible harm.”
