Battle rapper Geechi Gotti, born Marcus Fantroy, was arrested Thursday after a traffic stop on Interstate 75 led to the discovery of nearly 3,000 stolen prescription pills, according to authorities.
Bodycam footage released by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office captures the moment officers approached the vehicle.
The video shows Gotti and three other occupants attempting to flee on foot immediately after the stop.
Officers are seen giving clear commands to the group to get on the ground before detaining them safely.
The footage provides a detailed account of the arrest, showing law enforcement securing the scene while maintaining control over the situation.
Authorities reported that the pills recovered included opioids such as oxycodone, morphine, and Vicodin, allegedly connected to a series of recent pharmacy thefts in the area. Gotti faces multiple drug possession charges as well as a failure to comply charge related to the traffic stop.
“Public safety is our priority,” a Butler County Sheriff’s spokesperson said. “The bodycam footage illustrates the professionalism of our officers during the arrest and underscores the seriousness of illegal controlled substance activity in our community.”
Gotti was held without bail following booking and is awaiting further court proceedings. Officials emphasize that the investigation is ongoing and that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
