A Bronx woman was captured in a doorbell video harassing and threatening a pizza delivery driver during a food delivery.
She continuously knocks the pizza from his hands and shouts at him while he attempts to finish the delivery in the video clip.
Concerned neighbors contacted the police when they saw officers arriving to apprehend her following the alarming incident.
After a video went viral of a woman in a Bronx hallway aggressively knocking a pizza out of a delivery driver’s hands as he waited for the customer, the driver’s daughter came forward in a series of emotional TikTok videos.
She verified that her father was merely doing his job at the time of the assault and mentioned they intend to file charges. It is crucial to note that she stressed they hold no animosity towards the innocent onlookers caught on video and appealed to the public to refrain from harassing them.
Nicolette Salierno, his daughter, initiated a GoFundMe page to assist her father during this challenging period.
As of now, 67 donations have contributed $1,471 to the GoFundMe page, nearing their $1,600 goal.
The videos went viral on social media, sparking anger about how gig workers are treated. Viewers labeled the incident as unwarranted and rude, highlighting the challenges faced by delivery drivers, such as extended shifts, inadequate wages, and unsafe environments.
The driver’s family posted online afterward, verifying that he was performing his duties when he was hit by a woman, who is a teacher. They plan to pursue legal action and requested the public not to bother any witnesses, emphasizing that the woman is solely responsible for the incident.
