Campbell’s Exec Allegedly Blasts Soup as ‘Sh*t for Poor People’ in Secret Tape

A corporate scandal is boiling over at Campbell Soup Company after a former security analyst filed a explosive lawsuit accusing a top executive of derogatory rants, on-the-job drug use, and shocking comments about the very products the company sells.

According to the lawsuit, Robert Garza secretly recorded Vice President Martin Bally in a profanity-filled, 75-minute tirade that he says left him stunned. In the audio — which Garza claims to have captured during a meeting — Bally allegedly mocked Campbell’s own customers, sneering that the company produces “s–t for f–king poor people” and bragging that he barely touches the products himself.

The lawsuit also alleges Bally made inflammatory remarks about Indian employees, and even admitted to showing up to work high on marijuana edibles — another claim Garza says is caught on tape.

In one of the most jarring allegations, Garza says Bally boasted about “bioengineered” or even “3D-printed” meat being used in products — statements the company has not confirmed, and which would raise serious labeling issues if true. No regulator has verified these claims; they come solely from Garza’s lawsuit and the recording he says he made.

Garza claims he reported the behavior to his supervisor in January, expecting an investigation. Instead, he says he was abruptly fired less than three weeks later — despite receiving positive performance feedback the very day the alleged rant occurred.

His attorney calls it blatant retaliation.
Garza calls it silencing.
The lawsuit calls it a racially hostile workplace.

Campbell Soup Company, now under public scrutiny, says it is investigating and that the alleged comments “do not align with company values.”

Garza says it took him ten months to recover his career — and that the company’s cheerful hiring slogan about “treating employees like family” couldn’t be further from his experience.
