Cardi B is currently in a trial over a civil suit a female security guard filed against her.
A female security guard testified at a trial in Los Angeles on Monday that in 2018 the 32-year-old rapper from New York reportedly disrespected her during a violent altercation at a Beverly Hills doctor’s office.
While testifying, Emani Ellis alleged that the pregnant WAP artist spat on her, used racist slurs, and scratched her cheek with a fingernail.
The security guard went up to Cardi B at the obstetrician’s office with her phone. Cardi B got upset because she thought the guard was trying to publicize her private visit.
During a civil trial in Los Angeles, Emani Ellis accused Cardi B of assaulting her in 2018 at a Beverly Hills doctor’s office where she worked as a security guard.
Ellis stated that Cardi B used offensive language and threats during the incident, which left her feeling extremely distressed.
Ellis also mentioned that Cardi B spat on her and attempted to physically harm her. She further claimed to have sustained a facial injury from Cardi B’s fingernails and experienced various negative effects such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, insomnia, and body-shaming as a result of the altercation.
“She was like, ‘[Expletive] you, you fat-azz, I’m gonna beat your azz, I’m gonna get you fired, that’s why you do security,’” Ellis said, choking up as she recalled what she described as “super traumatizing.”
Cardi denies the assault accusers allegations
Cardi B is set to drop her highly anticipated second album, Am I the Drama?, on September 19. Leading up to the album release, she has already put out several singles, such as Outside and Imaginary Playerz. The trial’s commencement coincides closely with this exciting musical event.
