DaBaby Opens “No Knife” Chicken & Waffles Restaurant In Charlotte — And The Menu Is WILD.

DaBaby Opens “No Knife” Chicken & Waffles Restaurant In Charlotte

DaBaby is officially getting into the restaurant business — and he’s bringing the whole No Knife concept to his hometown.

The Charlotte rapper officially opened No Knife Chicken & Waffles in north Charlotte on Sunday, September 6, giving fans another way to support the hometown superstar outside of music. The restaurant opened its doors at 10 a.m. at 700 Atando Ave., marking DaBaby’s first restaurant venture.

And judging from the attention surrounding the grand opening, people were definitely ready to see what DaBaby had cooking.

The new restaurant isn’t your typical chicken-and-waffles spot either. No Knife Chicken & Waffles is offering a menu packed with different takes on the classic Southern meal, including 10 different waffle varieties.

Some of the options include Red Velvet, Banana Pudding, Birthday Cake, Blueberry Lemon, Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato waffles, along with the classic plain waffle.

So yeah, DaBaby didn’t just pull up with chicken and one waffle and call it a day.

The restaurant is also going beyond traditional comfort food with a health and wellness bar. Customers can grab things like acai bowls, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, oatmeal bowls and wellness shots.

The concept is also a natural extension of DaBaby’s personality and his popular cooking content. The rapper has previously showcased his cooking skills through his “Cooking With Kirk” videos, and the “No Knife” name has become associated with his kitchen persona.

Now, he’s taken that idea from social media straight into an actual brick-and-mortar restaurant.

And because this is DaBaby’s hometown, the opening carries a little more meaning than simply launching another celebrity restaurant.

The Charlotte native has spent years representing the city through his music and career, and now he’s putting his name behind a business in the community that helped shape him.

The restaurant’s opening also drew plenty of attention from Charlotte residents and fans. The Charlotte Observer reported that one customer said they waited three hours to try the new spot, showing just how much curiosity surrounded the grand opening.

For DaBaby, this could be the beginning of something much bigger than another celebrity side hustle. Restaurants have become an increasingly popular business move for entertainers, but having a concept connected directly to his own personality and content could give No Knife Chicken & Waffles its own identity.

And if the Charlotte location continues pulling crowds, don’t be surprised if DaBaby starts thinking about expanding the No Knife brand.

For now, though, Charlotte gets the first one.

DaBaby has officially gone from “Cooking With Kirk” to owning the kitchen — and fans are already pulling up to see if the food lives up to the hype.

No Knife Chicken & Waffles is now open in north Charlotte at 700 Atando Ave.
