Daycare owner napping as dogs kill toddler, now facing charges.

A Georgia Daycare owner has been arrested after her two Rottweilers fatally mauled a 2-year-old boy in her care.

Authorities say she was operating an unlicensed daycare and was taking an hours-long nap at the time of the tragic attack.

According to NewYorkPost Two-year-old Kaimir Jones was found dead in the backyard of 48-year-old Stacy Wheeler Cobb’s Georgia home around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Valdosta Police. Police said Kaimir’s mother had left him in Cobb’s care, unaware of the risk. Authorities added that Cobb’s daycare would sometimes host up to 10 children at a time, despite being unlicensed.

Cobb has since been arrested in connection with the tragedy.”

According to the press release, Cobb told authorities she believed the child was safe while she napped for just over two hours.

“No words can ease their pain, but our thoughts and prayers are with them during this unimaginably difficult time. I also hold our first responders in my thoughts as they continue to cope with this tragic situation.”
