According to authorities Four Arizona 5th grade girls allegedly plotted to kill a fellow classmate then leave him with a forged suicide note at recess.

According to authorities Four Arizona 5th grade girls allegedly plotted to kill a fellow classmate then leave him with a forged suicide note at recess.

The girls, ages 10 and 11, all students at Legacy Traditional School in Surprise, Arizona had it all planned out when they agreed to murder a student during recess on October 1, 2024 over cheating allegations following a break up.

Each child played a role in the plot, One would bring a knife to school, one would act as look out, and another girl would stab their victim in the stomach in an outdoor bathroom on campus.

All four students were arrested by Surprise Police and charged with threatening and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

3 of the girls showed remorse when confronted by police and school administrators, but officials noted that the fourth girl would start smiling and laughing when coming up with excuses over the murder plot.

 

The incident shocked the school community and sparked discussions about school safety measures.

Counselors were brought in to support students and staff dealing with the aftermath of the incident.

The school administration implemented additional security protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Parents expressed concerns about the incident and questioned how such a plot could have been devised by young students.

Authorities assured the public that the situation was under control and that steps were being taken to address the issue effectively.
