Volleyball Team Forfeits Over Transgender Player

Riverside Unified School District board trustee Amanda Vickers appeared on ‘Fox & Friends First’ to talk about a nearby high school’s volleyball match cancellation against another school reportedly due to a transgender player.

Three high schools in California protested against allowing transgender athletes by choosing to forfeit volleyball matches against a team including a transgender teenager.

The mother of the transgender student informed a school board member that they were failing morally by condoning harassment directed at her daughter.

Earlier this week, officials from Jurupa Valley High School, where trans teen A. B. Hernandez is a student, verified to Fox News Digital that two California high schools, Rim of the World and Orange Vista, had pulled out of planned volleyball matches with Hernandez and her team. This decision follows Riverside Poly High School’s team forfeiting their game against Jurupa Valley about a week ago.

In a statement, JUSD, a public school district in California, stated it must comply with the law that safeguards students against gender-based discrimination and mandates their inclusion in sports teams aligning with their gender identity. The district commended the JVHS Jaguars for their sportsmanship and commitment to representing the school and district. Efforts are underway to secure more matches.
