26-year-old Shane Piche a former school bus driver in New York who admitted to raping a 14-year-old will not serve any time in jail.
Shane Piche, who transported kids to and from classes in Watertown was sentenced to 10 years of probation after pleading guilty to 3rd-degree rape.
His sentence includes that he will be registered as a Level 1 sex offender, which is considered low risk of re-committing the crime and is not included in online sex offender databases.
The plea did not satisfy the teen victim’s family.
Piche was also ordered not to be left alone with anyone under 17. He did not say anything during his sentencing.
