Kodak Black has teamed up with one of Florida’s fastest-rising voices, Hurricane Wisdom, for a brand-new version of “Drugs Callin Remix,” giving fans a fresh take on one of Hurricane Wisdom’s most talked-about records.
The release immediately sparked excitement among fans, especially since the version available on streaming platforms features Lil Baby instead of Kodak.
For fans of Florida hip-hop, the collaboration feels like a natural fit. Hurricane Wisdom has steadily built a reputation for his melodic street anthems, while Kodak Black remains one of the state’s most influential artists, known for co-signing emerging talent and delivering memorable guest verses.
Their chemistry on the remix blends Hurricane Wisdom’s emotional delivery with Kodak’s unmistakable flow, creating a version that stands apart from the previously released remix.
The release also highlights Kodak Black’s continued support for artists from his home state. Throughout his career, Kodak has collaborated with and spotlighted numerous up-and-coming Florida rappers, helping bring additional attention to the region’s thriving rap scene.
His appearance on “Drugs Callin Remix” gives Hurricane Wisdom another major look as the young rapper continues expanding his catalog.
The move has also sparked conversation among fans because two different versions of the remix now exist. While streaming services continue to feature the Lil Baby-assisted remix, Kodak’s YouTube upload gives listeners an alternate collaboration that many fans didn’t expect.
Whether the Kodak Black version will eventually make its way to Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital streaming platforms remains unknown. As of now, the remix featuring Kodak Black appears to be available through his official YouTube channel, while the Lil Baby version remains the official streaming release.
With fans already praising the collaboration online, the remix is another reminder that Florida continues to produce some of hip-hop’s hottest talent. If this is any indication of what’s ahead, listeners will likely be hoping Hurricane Wisdom and Kodak Black reconnect for another collaboration in the near future.
