In November 2024, following his release from prison, Atlanta rapper Young Thug chose to release his first album titled UY SCUTI. This marks his fourth studio album under YSL Records, having postponed its launch from September 19.
Thug recently disclosed the tracklist for UY Scuti. He has released the single Money on Money, which features Future, and has also suggested collaboration with YFN Lucci.
The 18-track album features a mix of solo performances and prominent collaborations. Cardi B is featured on “On The News,” while Travis Scott joins for “Pipe Down,” and Future reunites for “Money On Money,” which served as a lead single earlier this year.
The album UY Scuti by Thug is named after the red supergiant star, reflecting his vast influence, popularity, and prominence in the hip-hop scene, akin to the star’s massive size and importance in the cosmos. This title resonates with his perception of himself as a superstar, as shown in a tweet that stated, KING SPIDER THE BIGGEST STAR, and during his attendance at a basketball game where he wore a custom jersey featuring the album’s name.
