A man files a $50 million lawsuit after disturbing video shows a Warren police officer sucker punching him earlier this month during booking.
Footage inside the jail shows Jaquwan Smith being knocked to the ground by officer Matthew Rodriguez, 48 while being booked, Rodriquez slammed Smith’s head on the ground and hit him again after he was on the ground. Rodriquez then threw Smith into a cell.
Rodriquez allegedly told Smith, “Hurry up and take the picture you little b****,” to which Smith replied, “I ain’t no b****.”
Last week Rodriquez who was with the force for 14 Years was fired upon further investigation then later charged with assault and battery.
