Florida Man Accused of Pulling Gun on Gym-Goers After Calling Them ‘Weak’.

A Florida man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he pulled a gun on fellow gym members during a confrontation at a local fitness center.

According to the Altamonte Springs Police Department, the incident occurred at a Crunch Fitness location in Altamonte Springs. Investigators allege that 35-year-old Winston Medley began harassing other gym-goers while they were working out, criticizing the amount of weight they were lifting and calling them “weak.”

Witnesses told police the situation escalated when Medley repeatedly confronted the group, asking if anyone had a problem with him. When one person reportedly told him to stop acting aggressively, Medley allegedly lifted his shirt, removed a handgun from his waistband, and pointed it directly at one of the gym members.

Authorities say witnesses reported that Medley appeared to pull the trigger while aiming at the individual. However, the firearm did not discharge. It remains unclear whether the weapon malfunctioned or was not loaded.

Gym patrons fled the area in panic as Medley exited the facility before officers arrived.

Police later located Medley in a vehicle and took him into custody without further incident. He has been charged with attempted murder, obstruction, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, according to authorities.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
