Streamer ‘Chud the Builder’ Held on $1.25M Bond After Attempted Murder Charge.

Clarksville, Tennessee: A livestreaming content creator known online as “Chud the Builder” is being held on a $1.25 million bond after being charged with attempted murder and multiple felony offenses stemming from a shooting outside a Tennessee courthouse earlier this week.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Dalton Eatherly, was arrested following an altercation that escalated into gunfire outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville on Tuesday.

According to law enforcement officials, the incident began as a confrontation between Eatherly and another man in the courthouse parking area. The dispute reportedly escalated quickly, culminating in gunfire that left both men injured.

Investigators allege that Eatherly fired shots during the altercation, striking the other individual, before also sustaining a self-inflicted gunshot wound amid the chaos. Both individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been fully disclosed.

Following the incident, prosecutors charged Eatherly with multiple offenses, including:

.Attempted murder
. Aggravated assault
.Reckless endangerment
.Firearm-related charges

Authorities have not publicly detailed a motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.

At a hearing held Thursday, a judge set bond at $1.25 million, citing the severity of the allegations and concerns over public safety. Prosecutors argued that the violent nature of the incident warranted substantial conditions if release were considered.

Eatherly remains in custody pending further court proceedings.

Eatherly is known online under the alias “Chud the Builder,” where he has streamed gaming and commentary content to a modest following. Investigators have not indicated whether his online activity is connected to the incident.

Authorities continue to review evidence, including witness statements and surveillance footage from the courthouse area.

A preliminary hearing is expected in the coming weeks.
