Teen Laundromat Worker Chased With Machete Over 49ers Jersey

Pomona, Calif. — A frightening confrontation unfolded at a Pomona laundromat when a teenager working there was allegedly chased by a man armed with a machete after being told to remove his San Francisco 49ers jersey.

According to nbclosangeles.com The incident involved a 17-year-old employee who was working alone when the suspect approached him in the parking lot. According to the teen, the man demanded that he take off the red-and-gold jersey, reportedly objecting to the color.

When the teen refused and went back inside the business, the situation escalated.

Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the laundromat while holding a machete, causing panic among customers inside. The teen ran for safety as the man reportedly swung the weapon and later damaged the glass door before fleeing the scene.

No injuries were reported, but the incident left the employee shaken. Police responded to the scene and confirmed an investigation is underway. As of the latest update, no arrest has been announced.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and asking anyone with information to contact local law enforcement.
