Tensions flared in court during proceedings involving the alleged killers of rapper Julio Foolio, as Davion Murphy was escorted out after appearing to exchange words with co-defendant Rashad Murphy during Judge Michelle Sisco’s closing remarks.
“Stop talking to me… You don’t love me n**ga,
Judge Sisco repeatedly urged Murphy to remain silent.
“Mr. Davion Murphy may need to be removed if he can’t stop talking,” she said. “Please stop. You are not helping your situation.”
When Murphy continued, bailiffs handcuffed him and removed him from the courtroom.
On Friday (May 8), Judge Sisco issued instructions to the jury, which is set to begin deliberations on May 11.
Murphy, along with co-defendants Sean Gathright, Rashad Murphy, and Isaiah Chance, is charged with premeditated murder in connection with Foolio’s 2024 killing.
Authorities allege the group followed the Jacksonville rapper to Tampa, Florida, where he was celebrating his birthday, and fatally shot him outside a Holiday Inn.
Investigators say the attack stemmed from an ongoing gang feud in Jacksonville.
In a related case, Alcia Andrews—also charged in connection with the murder—was convicted of manslaughter last November.
Prosecutors say she and Chance tracked Foolio across Tampa and relayed his location to the other defendants. She is currently awaiting sentencing.
