Trippie Redd is keeping the momentum from his newly released album NDA alive, and this time he’s linking back up with New Orleans rapper Rob49 for the hard-hitting track “MTV.”
The collaboration appears as the 20th track on Trippie’s 25-song album NDA, which officially arrived on August 14. The project features an all-star lineup that includes Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Rema, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Sexyy Red, Quavo, Kodak Black, YNW Melly, Ski Mask The Slump God, NoCap and more.
Now, “MTV” is getting additional attention as Trippie and Rob49 bring the collaboration to the screen.
The record brings together two artists with completely different but complementary styles. Trippie Redd has built his career on switching between melodic rap, emotional records and aggressive deliveries, while Rob49 has become known for his direct, street-focused bars and unmistakable Louisiana sound.
On “MTV,” the two artists trade energy over a hard-hitting production, creating one of the more aggressive collaborations from the NDA tracklist.
“MTV” isn’t the first time Trippie Redd and Rob49 have worked together. The two previously connected on “ARMAGEDDON,” which appeared on Trippie’s 2023 album Mansion Musik. Their earlier collaboration showed that the two artists could blend Trippie’s unpredictable style with Rob49’s raw delivery, and “MTV” gives fans another chapter in that musical connection.
The timing is also important for Trippie, whose NDA rollout has been one of his biggest in recent memory. Before the album’s release, Trippie unveiled a 25-track project packed with major features and previewed the album with singles and visuals, including “Meet The Redds” featuring Sexyy Red and “Paperbag Boy” with Young Thug.
While NDA moves through several different sounds, “MTV” stands out as one of the collaborations aimed directly at listeners looking for something harder.
The release of NDA marks another major chapter for Trippie Redd. The album follows years of anticipation, leaks, snippets and fan speculation surrounding the project before its official arrival in August 2026.
With 25 tracks and a feature list loaded with some of hip-hop’s biggest names, Trippie clearly wasn’t holding back when putting the project together. Rob49’s appearance on “MTV” adds another layer to the album and continues a collaboration that fans first heard on Mansion Musik.
The “MTV” visual now gives the record another push and puts more attention on one of the album’s many collaborations.
Whether you’ve been following the NDA rollout from the beginning or are just now checking out the project, Trippie Redd and Rob49 are bringing plenty of energy with “MTV.”
